Derek was phenomenal! He was very friendly and courteous in his initial phone call. He arrived exactly on time and greeted me with a smile and a friendly handshake when I went out to the car to meet him. He asked me if I knew the cause of the glass breakage of my windshield and I told him I did not. I told him I had my car parked at the airport for five days and when I returned home I noted the large spider web like cracks on the passenger side of the windshield. During the course of his work, Derek notified me by text message that when he had raised the hood of my car so he could remove the old windshield, he found a small bullet located in the vicinity of where the impact was on the windshield. He took a picture of it to show me. I am mediately went out to the car and he showed me the bullet and then proceeded to show me probable markings near the impact area. I called the airport parking supervisor and notified him of the same. He referred me to the Dane County sheriffs office located at the airport. I called there and an officer came to the site immediately. Even though Derek had finished his work, he stayed with me until the police officer arrived so the officer was able to take pictures of the old windshield, the bullet, and some other markings on my car. After the officer finish taking pictures Derek packed up his stuff and gave me another handshake and wished me well. I told him I was grateful that he had stayed with me until the officer arrived to collect information and the evidence. My experience with Derek was outstanding. It was very evident to me that he has been doing this type of work for many years and had a lot of experience.

There is a seal that is missing between the glass and the dash pad (Honda PN 77466-TL0-G01 SEAL, FR. INSTRUMENT). Without it in place there is a vivid reflection on the black trim band of the VIN plate and associated rivits. The reflection is visible from the drivers position. The glass is also set high relative to the pinch weld as evidenced by the large dash-to-glass gap on the lower left corner and by the nearly inaccessible lower roof rail/windshield gutter clip in the lower left position. I would like to have the instrument panel seal installed and the glass set to the proper height both of which will require removing and reinstalling the glass. The technician did a great job and communicated well. However, I was not informed prior to service that I would have to wait an hour for the glue to dry and the technician had to get a new windshield because he had the wrong one because the caller never asked for the VIN#.
