The repair tech said up front that the star was too big for repair but said he would try if I wanted to go ahead. I decided yes and, though the glass isn't as new, the repair is hardly noticeable. I am one of those people who drives a new car at least 5 years so I'm not too concerned about what this might do for resale value.
