Glenn did a great job! Glen was patient and considerate and came back to complete the job even in the cold snow where the elements that had existed in my area. Safety was the most important thing to him and he responded and insured that we were safe by fixing the window and made sure that he was safe by only traveling when conditions allowed him to travel. Excellent technician!

Although our experience with the actual technician was pleasant, the rest of our experience with Abra was much less than desirable. During my initial phone call with the installation schedulers, it seemed a little disorganized and not well documented because the person on the phone wanted to collect >$1,000 at the time of service although it was clearly explained - and later found to be documented - that a third party was paying for the installation. Our first install was scheduled for Monday, 1/15 between the really long arrival window of 11-5. I waited most of the long time window only to have the installer arrive at 3:30 to learn that he didn’t have the right parts and couldn’t complete the install. I was told the reason was omething about not having the VIN of the car when the order was placed. Fortunately, he hadn’t cut out the old windshield yet. I was told that it would be best if I would come to the facility when the part came in to have it installed, but I expressed my displeasure with that answer, stating that the service we selected was the in-home installation so as to avoid the inconvenience of having to come to the store. I was told someone would call me. Prior to the call, I confirmed with my husband that he gave the VIN to the representative when placing the order, which he definitely did. When I received a call that evening to reschedule another install, I was a little surprised that Abra wasn’t more apologetic for wasting my time and for not being able to complete the job the first time. I asked about the VIN number and was told that it was in the file, so no one knew why the wrong parts were ordered, but they quickly blamed it on the manufacturer, Lexus. I was once again asked if I wanted to come into the store for installation but reiterated that it was not only not what I selected as the type of install, but that it was a big inconvenience to me. The install was rescheduled for Friday, 1/19 and was promised that not only would the installation start time window be smaller, but that my appointment would be first, so the installer would arrive first thing, between 8-10am, with a call before arrival. At 10:10am, not only had the installer not arrived, but I hadn’t received a phone call. I called the local store only to be put on hold and passed around until I landed in what sounded like a call center. The representative was only interested in taking my name and number, not understanding the issue and certainly not apologizing for yet another screw up by Abra. Following the call, I also let my husband know that the debacle of the windshield replacement continued, and he immediately called the initials representative with whom he spoke, who apparently didn’t really have any answers not seemingly care to figure them out. I did receive a call from the technician about 15 minutes later confirming that he would be there before 11am. He did show up by 111 and completed the job by 12:15, and was very courteous. However, a company’s reputation and a customer’s subsequent desire to repeat business with that company or refer that company to others is t built solely on the technician’s courteousness or abilities. It is a package deal of all the experiences including communication, ordering, timeliness, and all of the other things. And the lack of these things with regards to the other Abra employees makes me very reluctant to either use Abra again or refer them to anyone.
